Day 12. A character you wish you knew in real life

Dean! Just because I’d want to go for a drive in his Impala listening to ACDC! xD

Of Blood and Honor

Done! And I gotta say, Chris Metzen needs to write more solo novels! This book had me tearing up on more than one occasion. A truly awesome read! Now, it’s time for me to get some shut eye before the boy wakes me up!

Got my bird!

Got my bird!

The more I read Warcraft novels..

The more I want to do Loremaster. It’s something I’ve never done on a character, purely because it’s always seemed so tedious (especially before Cata) but I think if I actually read all the quest lines, I might actually enjoy it quite a lot. Plus, I want to get as many achievements as I possibly can! (PvP Arena ones being the only ones I’ll probably never get because I get too nervous for arena, lol).

I dunno, there’s so many things I want to do in this bloody game, but not enough time to do it all, haha. Right now I’m off to farm Lovely Charms for that stupid pink bird I’ll never ride, just getting to add to my mount collection. I’ve been so tempted to pay 7-8k for it on the AH (cheapest I’ve seen so far), but I figured I should just suck it up and go do the farming. I’m going to do my farming in Halls of Lightning. I tried Throne of Tides, but even two of the trash pulls even killed me, I got the first boss to around 15% HP but ran out of CDs to pop >.> I don’t think my Shaman has enough in her to solo it and I was in Halls of Stone last week for the Elder and I was munching up the trash in there and getting a nice chunk of Lovely Charms in the process, so I figure I’ll sus out HOL.

Son’s asleep.. to join the raid finder or to not join the raid finder..

On a side-note though, I have to mention how glad I am Blizzard did introduce this feature in to the game. Without it, I literally would not get to see endgame content any more since I had my son 19 months ago (yes I’m one of THOSE mothers who is holding on to counting the months of their childs age rather than saying “almost 2 years old”. He’s not allowed to be a toddler yet!).

With a child now, there’s no way I could commit to being in a raid guild like I used to. I’ll admit, I really do miss being in vent, having heaps of laughs with guildies, wiping numerous times learning new fight, staying awake until the wee hours of the morning but I’m so grateful that I’m still at least able to see end-game content. Having said that though, there’s nothing in the world I would trade for my son. He’s my little spunky monkey and nothing else makes me happier than he does in this world.

I just started reading this last night and I’m about half way through (it’s a rather short story) and can I just say how much I freaking LOVE Orcs?
I just finished reading Rise of the Horde about 2 days ago too and it was just amazing. There was so much emotion throughout the book and it also gave me a new-found sympathy towards to Draenei.
Before reading Rise of the Horde, I literally knew nothing of the Draenei, so it was also really interesting to learn more about not only the Orcs, but the Draenei, Kel’jaeden, Ner’zhul, Gul’dan and a brief introduction to Medivh. Now, I know you’re all thinking “Well BC was based around all of that”, I honestly paid zero attention to any of the lore or the raid bosses. During BC, I was far more in to the social aspect of the game, rather than the actual game itself. I wish now I was more interested in the lore back then!
If you love Warcraft and the lore, I highly recommend reading the novels. I’m only on my 3rd out of the 17 novels there are and all three so far have been Orc related. I read them all pretty jumbled up too, I read Lord of the Clans first, which is Thralls story, then I read Rise of the Horde which is Thrall’s father; Durotan’s story and now I’m reading Of Blood and Honor which is after the First and Second War, around the time of Thrall’s escape from Durnholde (you all know the instance, CoT: Escape from Durnholde!)

Day 16 — What do you listen to while playing?

Honestly, since I’ve had my son I don’t listen to any music while gaming. We always have the TV on Disney, so I guess that’s what I listen to now, haha.

Before my son though, it was always metal. Disturbed, Slipknot, Children of Bodom, Hatebreed, KoRn, Drowning Pool. All the good stuff! :P I actually miss it a fair bit!

Day 11. Your favourite quote

Season 4 - Episode 6 “Yellow Fever”

Dean Winchester: I mean, come on, Sam. What are we doing?
Sam Winchester: We’re hunting a ghost.
Dean Winchester: A ghost, exactly. Who does that?
Sam Winchester: Us.
Dean Winchester: Us, right. And that, Sam, that is exactly why our lives suck. I mean come on, we hunt monsters. What the hell? I mean, normal people, they see a monster and they run, but not us. No, no, no we-we search out things that want to kill us, yeah, huh, or eat us. You know who does that? Crazy people. We are insane. You know, and then there’s the-the-the bad diner food. And-and the-the skeevy motel rooms. And then the truck stop waitress with the bizzare rash. I mean who wants this life Sam? Huh? Seriously? I mean do you actually like being stuck in a car with me eight hours a day, every single day? I don’t think so. I mean, I drive too fast and I listen to the same five albums over and over and over again and-and-and I sing along, I’m annoying, I know that. And you, you’re gassy. You eat half a burrito and you get toxic. I mean, you know what?
[throws keys to Sam
Dean Winchester: You can forget it.
Sam Winchester: Whoa, Dean. Where are you going?
Dean Winchester: Stay away from me, Sam. Okay? ‘Cause I am done with it. I’m done with the monsters and the-the hellhounds and the ghost sickness and the damn apocalypse! I’m out. I’m done. I quit.

Has me in stitches. Every single time.

Challenges

Going to have to put my challenges on hold. My router has shat itself, so I currently can’t use my Internet *sobs* I’m so bored!

Edit: posted this on my phone btw, lol

Edit: Never mind, got the net back! Hubby confirmed my suspicions and unplugged the adapter for the phone line and router and plugged the internet cable directly in to the phone line. I didn’t want to mess with anything myself in case I just made things worse, haha.

I need that bedspread in my life. NOW.
